An orientation alcohol meter - a spirit drinker is a meter used to determine the volume (percentage) of alcohol in mixtures of alcohol and water, and in clear alcoholic distillates.
After the alcoholmeter measures the relationship between the density of the liquid and alcohol, any additional sugar and other substances change the density of the liquid and affect the accuracy of the measurement. For this reason, the alcohol meter cannot accurately measure the amount of alcohol in liqueurs and colored drinks (whiskey, cognac)...
Application: Pour a sample of the distillate (spirit) into the measuring cup, cover the open part and mix the sample. Wait for the liquid to lose bubbles. Then take the dry narrow part of the alcohol meter and immerse it in the liquid (measuring cup). The meter can float freely in the liquid (it should not touch the bottom or the wall). Wait for the meter to settle - there should be no air bubbles on the walls of the measuring cup. The eye line can be at the level of the liquid surface.
On the paper table, we read the measured value in volume percentages of alcohol (vol.%) or in degrees.
The alcoholmeter is tested at 20°C, which means that the measurement must be carried out at this temperature of the liquid. If the temperature of the liquid deviates from 20°C, we correct the readings in the table.
Measuring range: 0-100 vol.% alcohol
Accuracy: Suitable for quick and reliable measurement, both for home and professional use.
